Fall Internship Opportunity

Transformative Peace is seeking a professional, motivated, and creative intern who is passionate about the field of peacebuilding to join our growing team. The intern will work remotely to support our communication, programs, and research activities. The duties performed within this internship will contribute to high-level peace processes, conflict analysis and assessment, capacity building of diverse peacebuilders, and the design and execution of community conflict transformation programs. The intern will report to the Executive Director and will work 15-20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. 


Transformative Peace ​is a mission based consultancy focused on conflict resolution, preventing violent extremism of all forms, and building inclusive peace processes. Our work is grounded in the belief that peace is a fundamental right, and that all members of society are entitled to a role in peacemaking efforts.


  • Monitoring armed conflicts and peace initiatives.

  • Researching and drafting content for monthly newsletter.

  • Conducting strategic desk research for policy briefs and events related to women, peace, and security; preventing violent extremism; and other peacebuilding topics. 

  • Support the drafting of reports and policy briefs.

  • Support the coordination of event logistics.

  • Assist with social media content development, and help contribute to TP’s voice across social media channels


  • BA or MA (completed or in progress) in peace and conflict studies, international relations, international development, or a related field.

  • Interest and knowledge in the field of peacebuilding and conflict transformation.

  • Self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and willing to take on tasks small and large. 

  • Strong attention to detail is essential.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. 

  • Ability to speak and write in Arabic or French is preferred. 

  • Previous experience in research and/or communications (including content writing and website management) are an asset.

*Please note this is a remote and unpaid internship.
Eligible for college/university credit.
