Spring Internship Opportunity
Transformative Peace is seeking a professional, motivated, and creative intern who is passionate about the field of peacebuilding to join our growing team. The position is Tangier based and the intern will work in office to support our communication, programs, and research activities. There is an opportunity for a virtual internship. The intern will report to the Senior Program Associate and will work 15-20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support staff as directed

Communicate with clients and partners

Assist in background research and the production of support materials, including briefs, reports, and other documents

QUALIFICATIONS
-
BA in peace and conflict studies, international relations, international development, or a related field or a related field, preferably one or more of: women, peace, and security (WPS), Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE), Middle-East and North Africa regional studies, and peacebuilding.

Interest and knowledge in the field of peacebuilding and conflict transformation.

Self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and willing to take on tasks small and large.

Strong attention to detail is essential.

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Ability to speak and write in Arabic or French is preferred.

Previous experience in research and/or communications (including content writing and website management) are an asset.
